Whilst times may be hard out there in government funded land, I don’t think it calls for the return of 18th century medical techniques, especially the use of axes on children requiring cardiac care which is the first thing that came to mind on seeing the following (highlighted) BBC headline :

Such a protest would certainly make for an entertaining spectacle, especially if the mandatory loud-hailer type was chanting “keep your chopper away from our children” or something along those lines.

Unfortunately, the reality is much more mundane relating to protests over the closure of a heart unit at Leeds General Infirmary. Nevertheless, it gave some amusement albeit brief.
