The star was discussing her role in the remake of Arthur and John Gielgud’s part in the original when BBC Breakfast presenter Sian Williams remarked that he was famous for swearing a lot.

Dame Helen replied: ”Well, in that sort of wonderful voice he had… You little —-.”

Does anyone really get offended by the word shit these days? I’m sure there are some out there who have been laying in a darkened room muttering to themselves all day after that.
