I would not want to be fishing off Scotland today – hurricane force 12.

Something of a rarity seeing Hurricane Force 12 mentioned in the shipping forecast but the current set of shipping forecasts mention “hurricane force” no less than eight times – I am glad I earn a living sitting at a desk rather than being thrown about in a boat.

Note also the sea state “phenomenal” which in laymans terms is akin to trying to sail up and down a cliff :
