Straight to the point on this one as I have more work to do than a one armed gynaecologist with a waiting room full of D&C patients.
A Telegraph article on food prices around the world opens as follows :
Worries over food prices are gathering pace and triggering alarm among politicians across the world. For there is nothing more likely to bring down a government than ignoring starving citizens.
Alarm indeed as the masses threaten to drag the politicians grubby hands from the levers of power – the guaranteed way to get a politicians attention.
Unfortunately, they never seem to realise how bad it is until the masses are revolting, at which point its time to load your private plane with gold (one and a half tonnes for the Tunisian President) and bugger off elsewhere while the masses riot.
