Whilst most people are aware of the array of special effects employed in films including “face replacement” whereby an actors face is superimposed on anothers body (such as a stunt double) a new piece of software from developers at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Saarbrücken, Germany allows changes to various body aspects even in moving images.
Whilst slightly sceptical when reading the article, the results are damned amazing, especially the sequence with the basketball player :

Give it a year or two and I am pretty sure that you will not recognise actors when they appear in the flesh as they will be shorter, fatter and less muscular than their on screen persona’s.
