A blog article at the BBC seems to have put a few god botherers in a frothing tizzy with the following headline :

Condom hole in the Papal vision?

And, just to rub it in, there are two photos illustrating the piece :

The article itself refers to a letter published in Science and says quite clearly that neither Catholics or The Pope are mentioned :

From a British perspective, there’s a certain irony in the fact that a clarion call for better access to family planning is published in a leading scientific journal on the same day that the Pope hits the streets of London.

The letter published in Science doesn’t reference Roman Catholic opposition to condoms, nor is its appearance linked to the Papal trip.

Amusing then that the author decides to annoy the left footers anyway with picture of the pontiff and rubbers under a headline about condoms – just a shame they didn’t place them even closer together on the page although they have still got quite a few of the flock in a tizz :

I fid the strapline on your article offensive.

I have complained to the BBC about your article

As a church going Roman Catholic and BBC license payer, I would rather you leave childish straplines to less serious sections of the media.

In fairness, there are plenty of other comments telling the offended to bugger off, albeit in more restrained tones.

Amusing none the less.
