I wrote a little while ago about austerity measures being taken in Greece and the probable reaction of the population who are experts in tax avoidance – namely riots and protests.
The BBC story on the third Greek general strike has a rather anemic video report with a bit of pushing and scuffling and the odd petrol bomb being throw into an empty square.
Over at Zero Hedge however, there is a “postcard from Greece” post which has a selection of pictures (reproduced directly below) that paint a rather different picture of events.
I find it somewhat strange that over here in Europe we don’t get to see what is actually happening in our own backyard – what, exactly, does our beloved BBC and the UK press wish to hide?
